The opportunity
We’re looking for an Underwriting Auditor to support the delivery of our underwriting assurance plan for Delegated Authority Arrangements (DAs) and Managing General Agents (MGAs) across the UK. This role will require an element of business travel.
Your key responsibilities
* Supporting the delivery of the UK’s Underwriting Assurance Plan
* Ensuring that all underwriting controls are in place and operating effectively
* That appropriate operational, and regulatory controls are in place to manage the arrangement
* Identifying any potential harm to our customers and exploring solutions through findings and actions
* Working with various sources of data to produce meaningful insights and analytics monthly
* Working closely with other departments across Zurich UK, such as Legal, Marketing and Compliance, to determine that all appropriate controls are in place throughout the lifecycle of the DA
* Working closely with subject matter experts such as Supplier Governance, Legal, Compliance, Distribution, etc, to determine that all broker/MGAs display appropriate behaviours to manage a DA
* Working with external partners (Brokers)
What are we looking for?
* Strong verbal and written communication skills - this role involves a high level of engagement with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions
* Confidence to question and challenge existing ways of working
* An interest in governance and doing the right thing
* Proactivity and the ability to manage and prioritise your own workloads
* Working with various sources of data to produce meaningful insights and analytics monthly
* Ability to produce accurate and timely underwriting assurance review reports
* An understanding of Delegated Authorities would be beneficial but is not essential
