Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to work for a leading principal contractor delivering rail projects across Network Rail and TfL frameworks. The role requires a process-driven operational leader to oversee multiple projects and manage a team of Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of a portfolio of rail projects across NWR and TfL.
* Line manage and oversee Project Managers, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.
* Drive programme governance, controls, and reporting across all projects.
* Ensure compliance with NWR / TfL standards, safety, quality, and assurance requirements.
* Manage risks, change control, and performance against programme, cost, and KPIs.
* Act as a senior interface with clients, internal teams, and supply chain partners.
Essential Experience:
* Proven Programme or Senior Project Management experience within rail infrastructure.
* Experience working for a principal contractor on Network Rail and/or TfL projects.
* Strong people management and operational leadership capability.
* Highly process-driven with excellent governance and control skills.
* Experience managing multiple live rail projects concurrently.
* Knowledge of GRIP / PACE / TfL Pathway or similar frameworks.
