As a 2nd line IT Support Engineer, youll be based in the Lancaster office for an MSP who has recently won contracts and in turn, needs to grow out their tech team. This MSP is looking for a Microsoft bias engineer who is looking for the next step in their career. This role consists of around 50% ticket work and 50% project work. Its a fluid environment so we will need someone who isnt afraid to roll up their sleeves and help the team out. The service desk manager strongly encourages the development of his team and is keen for his employees to constantly upskill and in turn be offered promotions a perfect opportunity for somebody wanting to progress their career. This company has actually seen one of their members of staff start out as an apprentice and work their way up to operations manager! This is a close-knit team of 12 engineers (including 2 technical managers), spread across 1st - 3rd line, and you'll sit in 2nd line.You will be working in a busy office environment and will have to be customer focused and able to manage customer expectations. If you have hands on experience at 2nd line within an MSP, then this could be the opportunity for you. Were after someone who has experience working in this environment and can come and hit the ground running. As well as this, it is important that you have the right attitude and are willing to learn whatever you dont know. Driving license is required for this role to visit customer sites.
