Core Responsibilities General Maintenance: Carrying out first-line repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and decorating to keep the school in peak condition. Site Security: Assisting with the opening and closing of the school premises, ensuring all buildings are secure, alarms are set, and any breaches are reported immediately. Health & Safety Compliance: Conducting regular safety checks, including fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring (Legionella prevention), and playground equipment inspections. Porterage & Logistics: Setting up furniture for assemblies, examinations, and parents' evenings, as well as handling the delivery and distribution of heavy goods across the site. Environmental Care: Ensuring the school grounds are tidy and safe, including litter picking, basic gardening, and emergency gritting or snow clearance during winter months. Why This School?
