We're recruiting a Finance Manager to act as the number-one finance professional on-site for a fast-paced manufacturing operation within the aerospace sector. This is a high-impact role supporting the Site Managing Director and operational leadership team, taking ownership of financial control, manufacturing reporting, and post-acquisition integration into a wider Group structure. You'll play a key role in strengthening financial processes, delivering robust management reporting, and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP / FRS 102 in a production-driven environment. What You'll Be Doing Financial Accounting & Manufacturing Reporting Deliver monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). Own production variance reporting, standard costing performance, WIP and stock valuation. Lead monthly close and ensure accurate overhead absorption and cost allocation. Align reporting with Group consolidation standards. Costing, Inventory & Operational Finance Maintain standard costs and overhead rates. Analyse material usage, labour efficiency, scrap, yield and machine utilisation variances. Oversee stock integrity including stock takes and cycle counting. Support operational leaders with margin and efficiency analysis. Financial Control & Compliance Ensure compliance with UK GAAP / FRS 102 and Group policy. Maintain robust internal controls across stock and production processes. Lead external audit process and statutory reporting. Prepare VAT returns and corporation tax information packs. Integration & Transformation Lead finance integration of a newly acquired manufacturing business. Support system migration and reporting alignment. Develop a consistent and scalable monthly reporting pack. Budgeting, Forecasting & Working Capital Lead annual budgets and rolling forecasts aligned to production drivers. Deliver scenario modelling and capex ROI analysis. Manage working capital facilities including invoice discounting. Drive stock and cash flow optimisation initiatives. About You ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified. Strong technical grounding in UK GAAP / FRS 102. Proven experience within manufacturing or industrial environments. Deep understanding of standard costing, stock accounting and production cost flows. Experience operating as a standalone or site-lead finance professional. ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Navision, Infor, Syteline etc.). Comfortable partnering operational leaders within a factory setting. Hands-on, commercially aware, and confident operating during change and integration. Eligibility to live and work in the UK under ITAR restrictions is essential. Why This Role?
