Title – Information Manager Location – Glasgow What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity to join our Digital Infrastructure Defence team, supporting sensitive projects across the UK. Reporting to the Project Director, you’ll lead on information management, document control, and data security—ensuring compliance with company, client, and government standards. You’ll establish secure systems and workflows, promote best practice, and provide assurance across all aspects of data handling. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you’ll drive governance, mentor staff, and uphold robust protocols that support successful project delivery. Information, Data & Document Management Lead and oversee the implementation, and continuous improvement of project document control, information security processes and data management policies and procedures. Support project and regional teams in ensuring that all documentation is managed, classified, and maintained meticulously in accordance with the Information Handling Plan (IHP) and Security Aspects Letter (SAL) associated with the project. Implement and manage internal document containers and virtual file structures, ensuring correct access permissions and traceable version control without loss of security principles. Audit site and project records regularly to ensure full compliance with client standards and government requirements. Generate, maintain, and issue reports, registers, and audit findings to internal and external stakeholders. Security Management Function as the primary project lead for data management and security, ensuring secure handling of classified and sensitive materials in compliance with government and defence standards. Support Deputy Security Controller in all aspects of the administration associated with the systems and facilities required for successful project delivery and client interaction. Collaboration & Leadership Build strong, collaborative relationships with the regional delivery teams and clients. Provide trusted advice to project and business unit leadership on all aspects of document control and protection alongside data security compliance. Mentor, alongside Security Co-Ordinator’s, Document Controllers, and regional security staff, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures across all teams. About You:- The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a level of understanding and experience against the following, key requirements. Demonstrable knowledge of MOD or Defence-related security requirements and government standards relating to classified information. Strong understanding of data protection principles and secure information handling. Currently hold minimum DV security clearance (Essential). Experience in document control, information management, and security compliance within the Infrastructure, IT or Defence sectors. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse teams.
