Job Overview
Our client is seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 ton Driver to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various sites across the UK. Note: This does include deliveries in to London
Responsibilities
* Drive a 7.5 ton vehicle to deliver goods to various locations as scheduled.
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, maintaining the integrity of the products during transit. Strapping loads with ratchet straps
* Delivery of cages. Some handball may be involved but minimal.
* Conduct inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. (Reporting defects and issues to the transport office)
* Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork / use handheld scanner as required.
Qualifications
* Valid UK driving licence with appropriate 7.5 ton entitlement.
* Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred.
* Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers alike.
* A good understanding of commercial driving regulations and practices is required.
* Must be physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks as needed within a warehouse environment.
* Must hold a valid driver CPC and Digi tacho card
