Job Description Quality Assistant – Food Manufacturing - Edinburgh - £32,500 No sponsorship available An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assistant to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring food safety, quality standards, and compliance are maintained across a dedicated production site. Key Responsibilities Carry out quality checks to ensure compliance with food safety and customer standards Conduct gluten sampling of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with external laboratories Identify non-conforming products and support corrective actions Maintain accurate process control documentation and quality records Support internal audits, HACCP processes, and food safety systems Assist with allergen, microbiological, and product testing Investigate quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with retailer standards About You Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing quality role Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and food safety systems Experience in internal auditing and quality reporting Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Confident communicator with a proactive, “can-do” attitude Food-related qualification (desirable) Apply Now If you’re passionate about food safety and quality, and looking to develop your career in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you.
