Role: Principal Architect (Civil). Location: Plymouth. Duration: 12 months. Inside IR35: Umbrella.

Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver Architectural aspects of the Facility, ensuring design against defined requirements and compliance with HSE requirements.
* Manage and review the design packages by subconsultants; coordinate with users and stakeholders to ensure integrated facility provides sustainment capability.
* Provide architectural expertise to ensure end product meets technical and operational requirements of the facility.
* Plan and support delivery of Architectural work packages to scope, quality, schedule and cost.
* Manage the Architecting elements of the Dock Facility upgrade; ensure designer technical performance and provide technical responses.
* Provide Subject Matter Expert advice for Architecture and integrate architectural designs with other design packages.
* Ensure design documentation covers project scope and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
* Contribute to technical planning, risk assessment, and project implementation.
* Ensure Quality Management arrangements align with the client’s Business Management System and Technical Manual.
* Maintain appropriate records, configuration and quality controls; ensure staff and contractors are aware of hazards and risks.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences
* Experience with Major Civil Infrastructure projects, preferably marine/docks; highly regulated environments and nuclear sites.
* Experience in designing hospitals or similar facilities may be applicable.
Qualifications
* Bachelor\s Degree in Architecture.
* Preferred Chartered Architect, registered with RIBA.
