Role: Property Lawyer
Location: Glasgow/Edinburgh
This is a rare opportunity to join a well-capitalised, internationally backed renewable energy platform delivering utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects across Europe and beyond. With significant long-term investment secured and a strong pipeline of projects across Germany, the Nordics, Southern Europe, and the UK, the business is entering a major growth phase.
You will play a key role in enabling the development and delivery of large-scale renewable energy assets that directly contribute to the energy transition, working alongside experienced development, engineering, and investment teams.
As a Property Lawyer, you will provide legal support across the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on land acquisition, land security, and real estate structuring for wind, solar, and battery storage developments.
You will work closely with internal project development teams and external stakeholders to ensure robust land rights are secured, risks are mitigated, and projects progress efficiently from origination through to construction and operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:
* Lease agreements
* Easements and rights of way
* Option agreements
* Purchase agreements
* Grid connection-related land agreements
* Advising on land strategy for greenfield and brownfield renewable projects
* Supporting due diligence processes for project acquisitions and divestments
* Managing notaries, land registry processes, and external legal advisors
* Identifying and mitigating property-related risks
* Ensuring compliance with local property, planning, and regulatory requirements
* Supporting financing processes by ensuring bankable land rights structures
Your Profile
* Fully qualified lawyer in Germany (or relevant European jurisdiction)
* Proven experience in real estate/property law
* Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects is highly advantageous
* Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
