As a Teacher of English, you will:
* Deliver high-quality learning and teaching across the Broad General Education (BGE) and Senior Phase, aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in literacy, language, and literature that motivate and challenge learners.
* Support pupils to develop critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.
* Contribute to raising attainment and closing the poverty-related attainment gap.
* Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in line with national and local guidance.
* Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including interdisciplinary learning, enrichment activities, and collegiate working practices.

Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who:

* Demonstrates a commitment to inclusion, equality, and wellbeing.
* Is reflective, innovative, and eager to contribute to continuous school improvement.
You will have:
* A degree-level qualification in English (or closely related subject).
* A recognised teaching qualification in Secondary Education (English), such as a PGDE Secondary (English) or equivalent.
* Registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), or eligibility for registration.
