Do you or do you know someone with a background in finance? We are looking for a new Treasurer to join our board of trustees. This is a fantastic voluntary opportunity to use your skills to help us continue to bring joy and connection to people living with and alongside dementia.
The time commitment is around 10-15 hours per year, including quarterly board meetings.
Forget-me-not Chorus is a pioneering charity dedicated to bringing joy and connection to people living with and alongside dementia through the power of song. For over a decade, our weekly singing sessions in community, care homes, and hospitals have empowered thousands to find their voice, build community, and improve their well-being. We are more than a singalong; we are a community of mutual support where everyone is a “singer” first.
We are seeking a new Trustee (Treasurer) to join our Board and provide essential financial leadership. This is a vital voluntary role that will help us ensure the long-term sustainability of our mission.
Trustee Responsibilities & Expectations
As our Treasurer, you will play a key part in the financial oversight of the charity. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting: Working with the Director (Operations) to ensure there are clear financial reports to present the Board in a format that helps all trustees understand our financial position.
Strategic Guidance: Advising the Board on how to best carry out its financial responsibilities and make informed decisions.
Oversight and Compliance: Working with professional advisors to oversee the preparation and scrutiny of our annual accounts and ensure we meet all legal requirements.
Trustee responsibilities as detailed in the ‘Essential Trustee’
This is a voluntary role, and we estimate the time commitment to be approximately 10–15 hours per year, including quarterly board meetings.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking an individual with a background in finance or accounting who is passionate about our cause.
If you are a collaborative team player with a desire to help shape a more creative and inclusive future for those impacted by dementia, we would love to hear from you.
