Job description Job title: Picker/Packer/Stock Control Location: Rainham (RM13) Salary: £13 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, immediate start, temp to perm role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker/ Stock Controller to join one of our clients based in Rainham area. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the organisation and presentation of our inventory. This position involves ensuring that products are stocked efficiently and effectively. Duties Receive deliveries, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition. Organise stock on shelves and in storage areas, adhering to proper rotation and placement protocols. Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages to management. Assist in the implementation of promotional displays and ensure that products are visually appealing. Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness and organisation within the stockroom and sales floor. Conduct regular stock checks and assist with data entry related to inventory management systems. Skills Experience in a warehouse or retail environment is advantageous. Strong negotiation skills to facilitate effective communication with suppliers and team members. Counter Balance and Reach Forklift licences preferable but not essential Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes to enhance operational efficiency. Proficiency in data mining techniques for effective inventory analysis. Familiarity with retail management principles to optimise stock levels and product placement. Understanding of business processes related to inventory control. Ability to perform root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies or issues.
