Job Title: Resource Controller/Stores Person
Base Location: Fareham
Working Pattern: Temporary - 9 months, Full Time, Monday – Friday. Typical hours are 07:30 – 15:30
PAY: PAYE/UMB
What will I be doing in this role?
Coordinate and optimise resources for street lighting operations, ensuring timely delivery of maintenance and upgrade projects. Support field teams and liaise with stakeholders to maintain high service standards and compliance.
In a typical day, you could expect to be;
• Ordering and managing stock for lighting components and materials
• Conducting regular stock checks and maintaining inventory records
• Scheduling and allocating resources to support maintenance teams
• Liaising with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely deliveries
• Updating internal systems and reports to track usage and performance
What do I need to be successful in the role?
• A valid forklift licence is essential
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
• Good communication skills for coordinating with teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Proficiency in using stock management systems and basic Microsoft Office applications
• A proactive attitude with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are;
• Previous experience in street lighting, highways, or utilities operations
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in an operational environment
• Familiarity with asset management or works management system
We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training/qualifications they may not have in the ‘nice to have’ list
