We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Grounds Maintenance Operative in our fantastic Grounds Maintenance Team! You will work as part of a small team ensuring that the grounds at our resident’s homes are maintained to the required standard. We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes. Requirements Outline of Key Responsibilities General maintenance of sites: Garden clearance for fencing team Removal of damaged fencing Trimming hedges, shrubs, and small trees Removing dead, damaged, or unwanted trees or branches Planting trees, flowers, and shrubs Mowing and edging Watering lawns, landscapes, and gardens Monitoring and maintaining plant health Working well as part of a team to complete the required tasks in an efficient and timely manner. Responsible for cleaning equipment and reporting any damages or breakdowns. We are looking for someone who has/is A Full UK Driving Licence Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships Able to demonstrate a practical understanding of Health & Safety and be aware of the importance of safety at work An NVQ Level 1, or 2 in horticulture or equivalent (desirable) Other NPTC /Lantra certificates would be advantage Benefits In return, we are offering An annual salary of £26,150.31 Annual Leave - 28 days per year, (plus bank holidays) increasing to 32 days when you reach your 3rd year with us.
