Deputy Head Teacher

Robert Shaw Primary and Nursery School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic, whole child focused Deputy Head Teacher, to work alongside the Head Teacher to collaboratively continue our journey to excellence.
We are looking for a leader who is an excellent teaching practitioner with high expectations for all children to do well.
Located in Leen Valley, Nottingham, our school serves a wonderfully diverse community, offering and rich and rewarding experience for both pupils and staff alike. You will:
Have a proven track record in leading others and strategic change
Take personal and collective responsibility for ensuring that Robert Shaw achieves its strategic plans and objectives
Support and drive organisational change through and inspirational and aspirational approach
Handle situations and problems with innovation, creativity and collaboration
Show respect and positive regard for others. Work effectively with individuals and teams
Show evidence of clear analytical thinking and get to the heart of complex problems and issues
Be a consistently highly effective primary teacher with secure evidence-based understanding of what makes the best teaching.
Be reflective, enjoy challenge and embrace support.
Be passionate about teaching and learning and driven by making a difference to every child.
Be committed to every child enjoying their learning, whilst being stretched and challenged.
Care passionately about children and their holistic development whilst still driving forward pupil progress and achievement.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build on and maintain strong relationships with staff, parents and carers, children, governors and the local and wider community.
Behave consistently with clear personal values that complement those of Robert Shaw.
