Job Description:
Interim Head of Projects (Estate Development / Capital Projects)
* 6 months
About the client
The Management Recruitment Group is seeking an Interim Head of Projects to lead on estate development and capital projects on behalf of a prestigious public sector estate in Northamptonshire.
Accountabilities
* Lead the delivery of capital projects including adaptations, refurbishments and large-scale maintenance and construction, estate development schemes
* Lead the delivery of small works and hard FM
* Management of external contractors and consultancies
* Management of multi-disciplinary teams as well as a diverse range of stakeholders
* Lead project teams
* Management of budgets, project financial controls, procurement activities and programme governance
* Ensure projects are carried out on time, to the required standards and within budget
Candidate Requirements
* Ideally MCIOB or working towards
* Recognised project management qualification such as MAPM
* Proven experience in a similar position within a large and complex estates management team
* Project management experience, client-side ideally within the public sector
* Experience leading capital projects and construction programmes
* Proven experience at head of service level or above
* Able to start at short notice
* Willing to travel to Northamptonshire as required
