Main duties of the job
* Oversee all aspects of financialmanagement, including budgeting, forecasting,financial planning and reporting to ensure effective financial control andvisibility.
* Ensure the accuracy,integrity, and timeliness of financial records, systems, and processes, including the maintenance of robust internal controls andadherence to best practices.
* Provide strategic financialinsights and commercial analysis to supportinformed decision-making, drive business performance and influence strategicdirection.
* Prepare and present monthlymanagement accounts, board reports, and year-end statutory financial statements, liaising with external auditors.
* Manage cash flow, workingcapital, and treasury activities, ensuring thebusiness meets its financial obligations and supports future investment.
* Ensure compliance with allrelevant financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies, acting as the lead contact for HMRC and other regulatory bodies.
* Lead, supervise, and developthe finance team, promoting a culture of highperformance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Support funding, investment,and commercial decision-making, including businesscase evaluation, pricing analysis and scenario planning.

Strategic &Financial Management
* Support the Executive Team in strategicplanning and commercial decision-making, including business planning, policydevelopment, forecasting and financial modelling.
* Oversee all aspects of financialcontrol, including the management of capital and revenue budgets, ensuringaccuracy, integrity, and compliance.
* Lead the formulation and monitoring ofannual budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and financialsustainability.
* Prepare and present monthly managementaccounts and year-end statutory financial statements in line with applicablestandards and deadlines.
* Ensure full compliance with statutory,fiscal, and regulatory requirements, including HMRC, VAT, and Companies Housereturns.
* Develop and maintain best practice infinancial systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring a robust internal controlenvironment.
* Act as the main point of contact forauditors, tax advisers, and funding partners.
* Provide financial analysis and insightto support operational performance, investment decisions, and strategicinitiatives.
* Manage cash flow, working capital, andtreasury activities to ensure the organisations financial obligations are met.
* Maintain up-to-date financial recordsand reports to inform decision-making and ensure transparency.

* Collaborate with HR to ensure appropriate staffing and trainingwithin the finance function.
Delivery & Operational Excellence
* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including internalmanagement reports, variance analysis, board packs, and commentary.
* Lead the development and optimisation of finance systems andprocesses, including purchase ledger, payroll, sales ledger, cash, banking, andgeneral ledger functions.
* Own the statutory returns process, including payroll submissions,pension reporting, VAT returns and year-end filing.
* Plan and oversee the preparation of financial plans, budgets, andreforecasts, ensuring consistency and rigour.
* Monitor the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of financeoperations, seeking value for money and operational improvements.
* Promote and embed strong financial governance across alldepartments, providing guidance on compliance with financial procedures.
