Job Description
* Liaising with external advisors and internal stakeholders to provide accurate and timely financial information, ensuring compliance with indirect tax and corporate income tax obligations.
* Reviewing tax calculations and returns prepared by external advisors to ensure accuracy prior to submission.
* Performing monthly reviews of tax balances to ensure liabilities are accurately recorded and appropriately provided for.
* Ensuring all tax filings and submissions are reviewed and completed ahead of statutory deadlines.
* Managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors on routine matters, while maintaining effective oversight of tax registrations across jurisdictions.
* Providing ad hoc tax advice and guidance to the business on matters such as indirect tax rules, withholding tax obligations, and treaty relief filing requirements.
* Conducting research and preparing reports on tax frameworks and compliance requirements in new jurisdictions.
Qualifications
* Experienceworking in a tax team, preferably in an in-house role - essential
* Strong technical knowledge of UK Tax (regime corporation tax and VAT)
* Experience of tax regimes outside of the UK is desirable
* Experience of working with external advisors
* Outstanding attention to detail
* Outstanding communications skills with a real can do attitude
