We are on the lookout for a highly experienced Data Scientist to be a key member of our Manufacturing D&A team. Your expertise will help drive Pet Nutrition's digital transformation objectives. You will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, focusing on managing and delivering projects, identifying strategic opportunities, and extracting value from our data assets.
This role will challenge you to rapidly learn about our data, understand business needs, and apply your analytics expertise to generate actionable insights that lead to valuable outcomes.
What Are We Looking For?
* A degree or equivalent in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
* Master's or PhD in a relevant discipline is a plus.
* 10+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
* 5+ years of experience delivering statistical analytics and insights on large-scale consumer datasets across various sectors.
* Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience using data science and advanced analytics to drive business value and optimize production processes.
* Strong knowledge of Python and the classic Data Science stack (NumPy, pandas, PyTorch, scikit-learn); familiarity with PySpark is desirable.
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP); we use Azure in our team.
* Good practical understanding of SQL.
* Passion for mentoring and coaching less experienced data scientists.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders in a global, multicultural environment.
* 3+ years of experience writing production-level code, with a solid understanding of best practices in version control, unit testing, CI/CD, and MLOps.
* Ability to write reusable code.

* Present findings to stakeholders, providing context and implications for feedback.
* Collaborate with internal and external teams to focus on pet-centric product and service recommendations.
* Apply a pet and pet-owner centric approach to problem-solving across divisions.
* Contribute to a high-performing analytics and data science function.
* Mentor and inspire your team.
* Document best practices in analytics project execution and suggest enhancements.
* Stay updated on new technologies and techniques relevant to business challenges.
* Engage with local teams to deepen their understanding of our digital transformation strategy.
* Participate in data science communities to share knowledge and advance learning.
* Adhere to consumer and pet privacy frameworks to empower consumers and leverage data responsibly.
