Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Encouraging compliance by young people with their court order and taking enforcement action in accordance with National Standards in cases of non-compliance.
* Conducting home visits and prison visits in accordance with National Standards.
* Meeting the holistic needs of the young person by adopting an end-to-end supervision approach to the young person and their carers.
* Understanding and actively promoting the Council's Customer Service Policy, ensuring the needs of customers are considered at all times to enable the Council to meet its customer satisfaction targets.
* Being committed to the welfare of children and young people, and to identify and address risks presented by young people to themselves and others.
* Building effective relationships with partners and working across organisational boundaries.
* Working in partnership with the young person, their parents, professionals in the YOS and partner agencies, and volunteers to help achieve the objectives of the young person’s supervision plan.
* Assisting colleagues in the delivery of the Service’s wider objectives, including being members of the Service’s duty rota.
Requirements:
* A relevant degree or experience working with vulnerable children with complex needs.
* At least one year’s experience working with children and families.
* Significant experience in performing the core duties of the post.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
