Job Title: Software Developer (Junior to Senior)
Location: West Midlands- Hybrid
Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
I’m currently working with a well-established, privately owned healthcare provider based in Birmingham that is looking to expand its in-house development team.
This is a great opportunity for a Software Developer at any stage of their career, whether you’re a junior looking for your first solid role or a senior developer seeking more ownership and impact. The business is investing heavily in its technology and offers a chance to work on systems that directly support healthcare services.
The Role
You’ll be joining a collaborative development team responsible for maintaining and enhancing core business applications. These are primarily desktop-based systems that play a critical role in day-to-day operations.
Tech Stack
* .NET
* C#
* Entity Framework
* WinForms
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain desktop applications using WinForms
* Work across the full software development lifecycle
* Build clean, efficient, and maintainable code using C# and .NET
* Work with databases via Entity Framework
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing systems
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical team members
What They’re Looking For
Junior Level:
* Exposure to .NET and C# (academic or commercial)
* Basic understanding of databases and ORMs
* Eagerness to learn and develop
Mid-Level:
* Commercial experience with C# and .NET
* Experience working with WinForms and Entity Framework
* Ability to contribute independently
Senior Level:
* Strong background in .NET and desktop application development
* Experience designing and improving system architecture
* Ability to mentor others and lead on technical decisions
Desirable Experience
* Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries
* Exposure to legacy systems or modernisation projects
* Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git)
