About The Post
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Adoption Team Manager in One Adoption South Yorkshire.
One Adoption South Yorkshire provides the adoption service for all four Local Authorities and work on a regional basis.
This post will require travel to other regional offices within South Yorkshire and currently the successful applicant will manage social workers within the Family Finding workstream of One Adoption South Yorkshire.
However, to provide a flexible service to our children and families, changes in the service may require the need to work in another discipline within the wider team and service.
About You
You will have extensive experience of Adoption at Advanced Practitioner or Team Manager Level.
You will be able to take a key role in planning and improving adoption services.
You will be used to undertaking workload and caseload reviews.
You will be empathetic and sensitive to the needs of those reporting to you.
You will know how to measure and monitor to ensure everyone performs at their best.
You will be robust enough to deal with complaints or incidents diplomatically.
You will be an influential negotiator when dealing with potential conflict.
You will have a knack for communicating complex messages in a straightforward way.
You will not be afraid to think outside the box to solve problems.
You will be capable of making decisions even when there is uncertainty.
You will see the big picture and be open to working with others.
You will be passionate about maximising a child's life chances.
