Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilise project tools to define project scope, project plans, risks, actions, and tasks, in order to deliver projects on time and in full.
2. Take ownership and responsibility for managing the work plan, monitor the schedule and budget. Manage project risks with contingency where appropriate, handle scope change requests, and protect against scope creep. Manage project milestones.
3. Manage issues and complex tasks within the project, including managing client expectations and resolving client escalations.
4. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, facilitate all communications, and document the project as required. Build trusting working relationships with clients.
5. Mentor team members in aspects of project management such as leadership, methodology, tools, people skills, and navigating politics.
6. Build and improve project management processes to enhance delivery and customer service. Collaborate with the wider technical services team to deliver project tasks on time and resolve issues. Prioritize continuous improvement.
7. Provide training and development for other project managers, including technical and soft skills. Conduct regular performance evaluations, mid-year and end-of-year reviews.
8. Understand the business needs for each project and make decisions aligned with organizational goals, including challenging senior stakeholders when necessary.
9. Collaborate with the business development and proposals team to develop proposals for potential clients and contribute to bringing new business to Morpeth.
10. Work with the technical services management team to provide leadership, improve efficiency, deliver quality to clients, grow new business, and serve patients.
Qualifications
* Essential Qualification: Degree educated, preferably in a scientific discipline.
* Relevant Experience: Commercial/business acumen, project management experience and/or qualification, pharmaceutical industry experience.
