Night Shift Train Cleaner
Location: Brighton Lover’s Walk Depot, East Sussex
Pay: £15.19 – £22.02 per hour (depending on shift)
Interviews: Immediate Start – 6-month initial contract (temp to perm)

As a Night Shift Train Cleaner, you will help ensure that thousands of passengers start their journey in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Your impact day-to-day:
Bring train interiors to life, creating clean, welcoming spaces for passengers each day, while staying active and engaged through hands-on tasks like vacuuming, mopping, sanitising, and deep cleaning.
Work as part of a team to maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and comfort for every passenger.
Stay active and engaged throughout your shift, taking pride in completing each task efficiently and thoroughly.
Learn and grow with support from experienced colleagues, training, and fully supplied PPE.
What helps you shine in this role:
Motivation, reliability, and a hands-on attitude.
Previous experience in transportation, housekeeping, or similar cleaning environments is a bonus but not essential.
Working Hours & Pay:
Rotating 12-week night schedule:
8 weeks: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
4 weeks: 8:30 PM – 4:30 AM
You will work on average 35 hours per week, with the opportunity to boost your earnings through regular overtime and rest day work. At times, you may be rostered to work longer stretches of up to 13 consecutive days — giving you the chance to maximise your pay and make the most of rest periods that follow.
Flexibility is key in this role, and your willingness to step in and cover extra shifts will be highly valued.
Competitive rates:
Standard: £15.19 p/h
Overtime: £18.22 p/h
Rest Day: £19.74 p/h
Sunday: £22.02 p/h
Pay increase after 12 weeks under Agency Worker Rights
Opportunity to move into a permanent role after 6 months.
