We are recruiting on behalf of a luxury country house hotel and estate set within beautiful countryside on the outskirts of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. Our client is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Reception Team Leader to support the Front Office team in delivering a seamless, five-star arrival and departure experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest service while supporting and developing a front office team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the Reception team to deliver exceptional guest service
Oversee daily front office operations including check-in, check-out, and guest queries
Ensure a smooth and efficient arrival and departure experience for all guests
Handle guest feedback, requests, and service recovery in a professional manner
Support with training, coaching, and development of team members
Assist with rota planning, task allocation, and daily operational organisation
Maintain accurate guest profiles and ensure system updates are completed
Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experience
About You
Previous experience in a Reception Supervisor or Front Office leadership role
Strong background in luxury hospitality or five-star hotel environments
Confident using hotel PMS systems (Opera or similar desirable)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Calm, professional, and guest-focused under pressure
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
A natural leader with a hands-on and supportive approach
