Job Overview
The Mary Calvert Project CIC provides free counselling sessions to residents of Keighley and the immediate surrounding areas. We are looking for an outgoing, confident, motivated, and compassionate individual to hold organise fundraising events which will help us to offer counselling support to more people.
Your role will include:
* Engaging with members of the public, having genuine and passionate conversations about our service and what we offer
* Networking with local businesses to gain support in the way of donations and sponsorship
* Working alongside the Social Media & Marketing Co-ordinator when required to advertise events
* Coming up with new ideas on how to raise money
* Organising and attending fundraising events
* Searching for grants and funding that the CIC can apply for
The ideal candidate will:
* Care deeply about community wellbeing
* Have previous experience in fundraising and/or holding events
* Be able to work under their own initiative and also as part of a small team
* Possess excellent verbal communication skills and be confident in speaking to both the public and local businesses
* Be able to work independently, demonstrate organisational skills, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Have a proactive attitude
* Have access to a laptop or desktop computer
We are a newly formed CIC and so this is a new job role which is being funded by The National Lottery.
You will be contracted to work 10 hours a month and these hours will be flexible and can be either from home with the occasional hours at our Keighley office or you can be fully based in the office.
You may be asked to attend the events that you organise.
Team meetings will be held in person on an ad-hoc basis. Voluntary hours are encouraged as these can be used to gain extra funding for the role. The contract may be extended and/or the hours increased if more funding is received.
