Position Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for parking vehicles for events taking place on campus and directing and controlling traffic flow during these events. Responsibilities also include helping out with security for concerts, assisting guests, and monitoring property and/or crowds of people during various activities and events.
Qualifications
* Experience Required: N/A
* Experience Preferred: Any traffic control experience such as fire police or internships with police departments is helpful but not required.
* Skills, Characteristics Required for Position: Must have the ability to work with people in a positive respectful manner; maintain consistent and reliable attendance; able to work outside in heat, rain, ice and snow; able to remain calm in situations of verbal abuse from guests or students; maintain confidentiality of information.
* Dress Code/Working Conditions: For inside events there are shirts indicating STOs; outside clothing required in inclement weather; vests provided when working outside. Could be working outside in heat or extreme cold; inside a concert with many people and warm conditions; may be asked to complete fleet vehicle testing.

Key Responsibilities
* Direct traffic for events

Secondary Duties
* Assist with handing out parking permits
* Assist in counting parking spaces
* Guard doors at concerts to protect personal items or equipment
