Due to the continued growth of our business, we currently have a vacancy for: Quarry Drilling Technician - Experienced or Trainee The Role Based on our customers sites throughout N. Ireland and R.O.I and reporting to the technical team the successful candidate will be responsible for Day to day safe and efficient operation of quarry drilling rig in line with current legislation and best practice. Daily checks and operation, routine maintenance, calibiration and operation of drill rig in line with operating procedures and risk assessments. Efficient management of rig movements between quarries The adoption of customer focused work ethic and best practice Developing and maintaining professional and courteous relationships with customers Maintain safety checks and safety records, follow procedures, work instructions and conditions of risk assessments Maintain all records as required to comply with legislation, industry standards as a minimum, and best practice where practicable. Timely and accurate completion of drill log documents. Submission of accurate mileage records and/or fuel card receipts The Applicant The successful candidate will have a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work. They will have an energetic "hands on" approach and the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues on both a formal and informal level. This position is ideal for a highly motivated, hard-working person with a positive attitude. Candidates must demonstrate experience in working in a site or quarry environment and will possess the following skills and competencies. Previous operatin of a drilling rig is desirable Previous operation of tracked or similar plant is essential. The ability to work unsupervised and manage own time is essential Willingness to start early and travel between sites is essential Accurate record keeping and administration is essential A clean driving licence The successful candidate will be organised with good planning and time management skills Previous drilling experience would be desirable but not essential How to apply Rocblast strive to obtain and train the best talent.
