Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Hearing Impairment (BSL Qualified)

Contract: Full-time or 4 days per week

We’re working with a fantastic secondary school in Teesside looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a hearing-impaired student 1:1. If you're BSL-qualified, compassionate, and ready to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s learning journey, this role is calling your name.
The role:
* Provide tailored, 1:1 support for a hearing-impaired student in a mainstream secondary setting
* Use British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate communication and learning
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and families to support the student’s progress
* Help create an inclusive and accessible classroom environment
What we’re looking for:
* British Sign Language (BSL) qualification (minimum Level 2)
* Experience supporting students with hearing impairments
* Someone who can commit to 4 or 5 days per week
* Calm, patient, and reliable—you’ll be a key part of this student’s day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
