About the Role
We are looking for a high-impact, commercially driven General Manager to lead and scale an insurance brokerage business. This is a leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, with full ownership of P&L, growth strategy, and operational execution.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can drive revenue, optimize operations, and build a high-performance sales-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and manage P&L, ensuring revenue growth, cost control, and profitability
* Drive retail & corporate insurance business across motor, medical, personal lines, and SME segments
* Lead sales and telesales operations, improving conversion, productivity, and revenue per agent
* Build and scale brokerage operations, including processes, systems, and team structure
* Manage insurer relationships, pricing, placement, and negotiations
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GCC/Bahrain preferred)
* Lead digital transformation initiatives, including aggregators and online sales platforms
* Build a high-performance culture, driving accountability and execution excellence
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field
* Cert CII (mandatory); ACII preferred
* 12+ years of experience in insurance, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
* Proven experience in insurance brokerage P&L management
* Strong expertise in retail and corporate insurance lines
* Deep understanding of brokerage operations, commissions, and profitability drivers
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong sales leadership (telesales/call center exposure preferred)
* Experience in scaling brokerage businesses or turnaround environments
* Expertise in insurer negotiations and pricing strategies
* Exposure to digital insurance platforms / aggregators
* Excellent leadership, decision-making, and execution skills
