Theatre Practitioner – Scrub, Recovery or Anaesthetics

Location: The Wellington Hospital
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 4 or 5 days per week, with occasional weekends
Salary: Competitive + Shift Enhancements

The Wellington Hospital – the UK’s largest private hospital, rated “Good” by the CQC – is seeking an experienced and motivated Theatre Practitioner to join our dynamic and well-established theatre team. With 13 theatres and a reputation for clinical excellence, this is an exciting opportunity to grow your career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled practitioner with experience in one or more of the following areas:

1. Scrub
2. Recovery
3. Anaesthetics

Whether you’re an ODP or Theatre Nurse, your expertise will contribute to delivering safe, high-quality care across a wide range of surgical specialities. Experience in robotic-assisted surgery is highly desirable, but full training will be provided. Knowledge of urology and orthopaedics is also highly valued.

If you’re dual-trained, that’s a bonus—but we’re equally committed to developing your skills across new specialities through structured training and mentorship.

What You’ll Bring

4. HCPC or NMC registration (essential)
5. Minimum of 5 years’ theatre experience
6. Strong clinical skills in scrub, recovery, or anaesthetics
7. A collaborative mindset and confidence in a multidisciplinary setting
8. A proactive approach to learning and development
9. A passion for delivering exceptional patient care
