About the Role:
Are you a creative storyteller with a talent for media relations? We’re looking for a PR Campaign Manager to join our Communications Team at East of England Co-op.
In this newly created role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of impactful PR campaigns that elevate our brand reputation and drive media engagement across national, trade, regional, and digital platforms. Working closely with the Head of Communications and Communications Managers, you’ll become the first point of contact for press activity — managing both proactive campaigns and reactive media responses.
Based at our Wherstead Park office with hybrid working available, this is a brilliant opportunity to make your mark in a purpose-led, community-focused organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Deliver high-quality PR campaigns that align with our commercial, brand and corporate objectives.
* Draft and edit press releases, briefings and media materials with confidence and clarity.
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with key journalists and media contacts.
* Respond to media enquiries, acting quickly and effectively in both opportunity and crisis scenarios.
* Monitor and report on media coverage and campaign performance using tools like Vuelio.
* Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent, aligned messaging — especially on LinkedIn and other digital platforms.
What You’ll Need:
* Proven experience in PR or communications, ideally within retail, consumer, or agency settings.
* Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a sharp eye for detail.
* Strong knowledge of the UK media landscape and an existing network of media contacts.
* Experience managing sensitive or reputational issues under pressure.
* Ability to think creatively, manage multiple projects, and communicate with confidence.
* Knowledge of digital PR strategies and SEO-optimised content is desirable.
Why Join Us?
At East of England Co-op, we believe in doing business better — for our customers, our communities, and our colleagues.
As PR Campaign Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how our co-op is seen and heard across the region and beyond. You’ll join a supportive team that values collaboration, creativity, and clear communication.
If you’re ready to take the lead on bold, values-driven PR campaigns, we’d love to hear from you.
