Role Overview
As a Pastoral Manager you’ll lead your team to meet the emotional needs of children with complex, challenging needs, including those with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges, and other special educational needs. You will develop individual care plans, work closely with families, and create a positive learning environment that enables every young person to thrive.
Responsibilities
* Lead pastoral care activities and support programmes for pupils.
* Conduct careful assessment and planning to meet individual needs.
* Collaborate with families and multi‑agency partners.
* Provide guidance, staff appraisal and performance management.
* Maintain high standards of care and comply with safeguarding and child protection regulations.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting ASC, ADHD or SEMH pupils and families in challenging circumstances.
* Experience of multi‑agency work and knowledge of safeguarding legislation and child protection policy.
* NVQ 3 in Care or Level 2 teaching assistant qualification.
* Leadership related qualification is desirable.
* Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training.
