Come and join us at the wonderful Newbury Wharf! Being an Explorers Volunteer is a rewarding experience. The role is full of variety, flexibility and a lot of fun! We work as a team to inspire children and young people about our canals and rivers.
Visits run from Newbury Wharf, where we partner with the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust to offer boat trips as well as our fantastic Explorers activities. We also think it's super important to help children learn to be safe near water, and each year we put together a programme of visits to schools and groups.
We give you full training and resources for leading groups of children. You will have support from a Learning & Skills Co-ordinator, a Lead Volunteer, and your team of volunteers. Travel costs are reimbursed.
