Base pay range

Are you passionate about driving transformational change and making a real impact? Join our dynamic Transformation Team at Norwich City Council as a Programme Support Officer. In this role, you will support the delivery of transformational change across the council, working collaboratively with project delivery teams and the programme manager and will be supporting our Planning and Regulatory Services digitisation programme, including working with our external suppliers to deliver effective online forms, testing, ensuring upgrades to systems and supporting the data migration process.

Key Accountabilities


* Programme Documentation: Ensure effective oversight of the council’s transformation programme by producing and maintaining essential programme documents, including programme plans, issues logs, and risk registers.
* Governance Support: Facilitate effective governance by supporting production of progress reports for governance boards, presented in an appropriate format to enable decision-making.
* Programme Delivery: Collaborate with project teams across the council to support project delivery, ensuring effective project controls are in place. This includes reporting on milestones and issues and providing advice on best practice project management, council transformation processes, methods, and tools.
* Programme Support: Assist the programme manager and wider team in identifying and defining projects within the programme. This may involve setting up and running workshops.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Develop excellent relationships across the council to ensure the transformation programme is well understood by colleagues and informed by their knowledge and views.
* Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leaders and external stakeholders.
* Ad Hoc Support: Provide ad hoc support to the transformation team, such as monitoring the Transformation inbox, setting up workshops, taking minutes at meetings.

* Paid holiday entitlement starts at 26 days per annum and increases with length of service to a maximum of 33 days per annum. This is pro rata for part-time employees
