Role Overview
We are representing a leading Facilities Management company in their search for an experienced
Account Manager
. This senior management role will lead the operational and support teams to deliver outstanding FM services across a high-profile contract. The successful candidate will own the client relationship, ensure contractual obligations are consistently met, and drive operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership to the contract team, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant FM service delivery.
* Take full P&L responsibility, including invoicing, accruals, income, and debt management.
* Oversee compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, ensuring all remedial actions are completed on time.
* Manage performance reporting, producing high-quality internal and external reports with analysis and action planning.
* Lead monthly client and contract performance reviews, ensuring accountability and timely delivery of actions.
* Drive efficiency through workforce planning, recruitment, and minimising agency reliance.
* Support operational teams and contractors to achieve service delivery targets, addressing underperformance proactively.
* Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the contract.
* Ensure training and development plans are delivered to maintain competency and compliance.
* Foster strong client relationships, acting as a trusted partner and ambassador for the business.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong leadership and change management capability.
* Strategic thinker with hands-on operational delivery experience.
* Proven ability to manage complex contracts with commercial and financial accountability.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
* Results-driven, with experience embedding and sustaining improvements.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (or equivalent), CAFM systems, and performance management tools.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
* IOSH Managing Safely (minimum).
* PFI Experience.
* Proven track record in managing multiple regional or complex FM contracts.
* Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and H&S legislation.
* Experience in financial and commercial management.
Desirable
* Professional qualifications such as BIFM/IWFM.
* Project management or Lean/Six Sigma certification.
