Contract | Outside IR35 | Competitive Day Rate Location: Channel Islands / UK (On-site preferred) - Hybrid options available Duration: Initial 9 months We are supporting a tech consultancy working with a large public sector organisation delivering a major cyber security transformation programme and are looking to engage an experienced Business Analyst to support multiple workstreams across the programme. This is a contract opportunity outside IR35 offering a competitive day rate depending on experience, working within a complex environment focused on strengthening cyber capability, resilience, and operational security. The Role The Business Analyst will work across a portfolio of cyber and resilience initiatives, supporting discovery, requirements definition, and delivery activities. You will work closely with stakeholders across business, technical, and cyber security teams to ensure requirements are captured, analysed, and delivered effectively across the programme lifecycle. This role will involve analysing current state processes, supporting the design of future state operating models, and ensuring solutions align with both operational needs and programme objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead requirements gathering and analysis across multiple workstreams Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions Produce clear and traceable business, functional, and non-functional requirements Conduct process mapping, workflow analysis, and gap analysis Support the design of future state operating models and service processes Work closely with architects, technical teams, and cyber specialists Support testing, acceptance criteria definition, and validation activities Contribute to transition and operational readiness planning Maintain structured documentation aligned to programme governance Key Skills & Experience Strong Business Analysis experience (typically 510 years) Experience working on cyber security, infrastructure, digital, or transformation programmes Proven ability to manage requirements across multiple concurrent workstreams Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills Experience with process mapping and future state design Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language Experience working with architects, SMEs, and operational teams Desirable Experience Experience supporting cyber security or resilience programmes Experience in public sector or highly regulated environments Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft 365 Contract Details Day Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience) IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Contract Length: 9 months initially with possible extension Location: On-site presence preferred (Channel Islands) - UK hybrid options available O.K.
