Knowledge of the education sector and teacher training pathways is highly desirable Key Relationships Head of Operations, Reed Education (line manager) Branch Managers, Consultants and Support Teams (primary users) Compliance, Marketing, Reed Online teams. Performance Metrics Growth in candidate registrations from universities, SCITT providers, and FE colleges. Increased ROI from job boards and sourcing channels. Reduction in candidate screening and onboarding time. Successful implementation of referral schemes and ambassador programs. Salary range: £26,000-£28,000 Job Description University Engagement & Strategy A key part of the Candidate Managers role will be to establish strong working relationships with universities across the country with the aim of accessing trainee teachers whilst they are studying for their qualifications. This will formulate a better Teacher candidate pipeline for the future. To do this the Candidate Manager will: Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of UK universities offering PGCE and QTS courses. Identify and establish relationships with key university contacts, including course leaders and career services. Create initiatives to access student and trainee teacher networks, including on-campus events and virtual engagement. Organise and attend university career fairs and recruitment events to showcase Reed Education opportunities. Launch and manage a Candidate Ambassador Program to promote Reed Education within university communities. Design innovative service offerings tailored to university partnerships to increase candidate acquisition. Extend outreach to universities in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and international locations. Teacher Training Partnerships Build and maintain a database of SCITT (School-Centered Initial Teacher Training) providers across England and Wales. Develop collaborative relationships with SCITT leaders to access trainee teacher talent pools. College & Further Education Strategy Establish connections with FE colleges and training providers specialising in Teaching Assistants, SEND Support Workers, Nursery, and Early Years Practitioners. Maintain an up-to-date database of these institutions and their candidate pipelines. Accountabilities cont Job Board Optimisation Responsible for maximising ROI from existing job boards (Reed.co.uk, Indeed, CV Library) by developing, assessing and continuously evolving our strategic approach. Continually research and evaluate new job boards targeting academic and non-academic candidates. Develop best practices for Boolean searches and job advert optimisation across the Reed Education network. Resourcer Team Development Establish best practices for the UK Resourcer team in candidate searching, Boolean techniques, advert writing, and engagement strategies. Working with local management, provide training and guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality candidate sourcing. International Recruitment Continually assess the feasibility of recruiting overseas teachers for UK schools, considering the ongoing changes to which countries are eligible to gain UK Qualified Teacher status, and looking to make best use of any government initiatives linked to filling the gap in Teacher recruitment and retention. Explore partnerships and sourcing channels in international markets to attract qualified educators. Candidate Referral Scheme Enhance and embed the candidate referral program across the Reed Education network to drive candidate referrals and loyalty. Work closely and collaboratively with other Reed key stakeholders in Marketing, Reed Online and the other Divisions to maximise the opportunity of candidate referrals from Reed temporary workers and service users. Compliance & Onboarding Collaborate with the Screening Team and Senior Leadership Team to streamline candidate compliance processes. Implement improvements to reduce screening time and enhance the onboarding experience for candidates. Look to support the ever-evolving relationship between Consultants and Screening Executives to make the process more efficient, reduce candidate journey time, and reduce candidate drop outs and withdrawals.
