Amour Recruitment is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Technical Service Desk Operator to join a well-established IT services company based in Waterlooville.
This role sits at the heart of the support team and is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, solving technical issues, and delivering clear, reliable service.
Duties include:
1. Acting as the first point of contact for IT support requests
2. Logging, updating, and managing tickets within the helpdesk system
3. Troubleshooting and resolving first-line technical issues
4. Providing clear updates to customers throughout the lifecycle of a ticket
5. Supporting user administration and common troubleshooting within Microsoft 365
6. Assisting with joiner, mover and leaver processes
Personal requirements:
7. Previous experience in a 1st Line Service Desk / Helpdesk role
8. Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting
9. Experience using a ticketing or service management system
10. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain issues clearly to users
11. Calm and professional approach when handling support requests
Hours: Monday to Friday 0900-1730 (with participation in an out-of-hours rota) working from home on Tuesday & Thursday!
