Role

Are you passionate about making a difference behind the scenes in healthcare? You will be responsible for leading on international recruitment for NHS Lanarkshire and developing and implementing marketing and recruitment strategies to support our recruitment objectives. You will contribute toward building a strong presence within the Board, link with the NHS Scotland Centre for Workforce Supply team, and be instrumental in developing and executing activities to access local, national and international healthcare professionals to meet current and future vacancy activity. This will include engaging with NHS Lanarkshire’s Workforce Planning Manager to identify opportunities to support staffing priorities. You will apply specialist knowledge in the development and management of processes and campaign programmes with a particular focus on recruiting local, national and international candidates for known ‘hard‑to‑fill’ specialties such as Medical, Nursing and AHP gaps. In addition, you will work closely with and provide cross‑cover for the Senior Recruitment Advisor (Assessment Centres and Psychometric Testing), ensuring flexible support during peak activity periods. You will also assist the Recruitment Manager in providing professional leadership to the recruitment team while supporting all aspects of the general recruitment process as required.


Qualifications

* Postholder should possess a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development or equivalent.
* Be a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
* Have significant HR/OD experience.
* Postholder must hold a current/valid driving licence.
* Working knowledge of Human Resource Management and employment legislation.
* Supervisory experience.
* Experience of managing high‑volume transactional activity.
* Knowledge of change management.
* Well‑developed interpersonal skills.
* Ability to balance conflicting demands with the pressure that is incurred.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficient IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
* Ability to ensure confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
* Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
* Postholder must hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence if a licence is required for the role.


Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Kirklands Hospital – NHS Lanarkshire Board Headquarters. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am‑5pm with a hybrid working model.
