Clinical Support Worker - Glynde Ward - EDGH
Glynde Ward is a busy, acute 30 bedded Ward in Acute General Medicine with a multidisciplinary team approach and extended support.
Responsibilities
* Provide delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings, removal of urinary catheter; training will be provided.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, using initiative and effective interpersonal and communication skills to support patient care.
Qualifications
* GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or Functional Skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 in health and social care or equivalent.
* Experience as a Clinical Support Worker; hospital experience is desirable but not essential.
Induction and Development
* Successful applicants will complete an Induction course including Trust statutory/mandatory training; commitment to high standards of patient care and ongoing professional development.
* Supportive atmosphere with mentorship and clinical supervision; opportunities for professional development within the unit.
Team and Work Environment
* Must be able to work as part of a team, use own initiative, and communicate effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
