Senior Manager – Decision Systems

We’re hiring a Senior Manager to lead the customer decisioning journey at one of the UK’s most exciting credit startups.
They’ve grown over 50% in the past year and are now around 200 people strong. Backed by major financial players and known for their smart, scalable tech, this company is helping customers across the UK manage credit in a more modern, transparent way.
About the Company:
WeDo is partnering with a fast-growing, private-equity-backed FinTech that’s making serious moves in the UK credit space. They've recently acquired a multi-billion-pound credit card portfolio, and with a new CEO at the helm, they’re gearing up for major expansion in 2025.
The mission? To build innovative consumer finance solutions in partnership with some of the UK’s most recognisable brands.
They’ve got around 200 employees, including 70 in tech, and the product team is growing too — from 10 to 13 people. It's a team with momentum, and right now, they’re hiring someone to take charge of one of the most critical parts of their platform: how customers are onboarded and assessed.
What’s the role?
You’ll be leading the Decisioning team, shaping how customers go from first click to credit approval. That means looking at everything from selfie checks to pricing models to the application UX. You’ll work closely with teams like Marketing, Fraud, and Commercial to gather the right info and build journeys that are slick, fast, and secure.
There’s already a great team in place: a hands-on Manager, a Lead, a Senior Analyst, and two contractors. You’ll bring the strategic leadership — helping define the roadmap, remove bottlenecks, and future-proof the way the team works.
Some areas you’ll focus on:
* Improving bureau integrations and speeding up data extraction
* Making sure the journey works smoothly for aggregator partners (like Compare The Market)
* Building in resilience — the team needs to avoid having a single point of failure, so you’ll help shape smart processes and solid succession plans
What you’ll need:
* Experience working across the full decisioning/customer onboarding journey — especially in a fast-paced or regulated environment
* Strong understanding of how engineering teams work, especially with Java
* Familiarity with SQL Server (data storage and queries) and some Python
* A hands-on mindset with a strategic edge — someone who can zoom in on the details, but also step back and guide the bigger picture
