Job Description
To lead the strategic development, coordination, and operational delivery of all employability programmes within East Ayrshire Council funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Scottish Government's No-one Left Behind, Tackling Child Poverty funds. The postholder will ensure these programmes are delivered effectively to support local and national priorities, maximize positive outcomes for individuals, and contribute to inclusive economic growth. This role involves collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and funding bodies. The Employability Manager will oversee programme reporting and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to the Scottish Government and relevant partners.

Additional Information
* This is a full-time, permanent position based at The Opera House, John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock.
* The post hours are 35 per week, with working hours from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday (with a 50-minute lunch) and 9am to 4pm on Friday (with a 40-minute lunch).
* The workstyle is flexible, with 50-79% office-based work. The role may require working at different locations, including occasional work from home or external appointments 1-2 days per week.
* The salary ranges from £58,895 to £63,445 per annum.
* This is a new post, influential in shaping the service, subject to organizational review.
* Candidates successful at the longlist stage will attend an Assessment Centre, followed by a final interview for those progressing further.
