Key Purpose
As a Toll Collector, you’ll play a vital role in managing toll transactions with accuracy and professionalism. You’ll help keep traffic flowing safely and efficiently while providing outstanding service to every driver you encounter – no two interactions are ever the same!

* £12.60 per hour
* Must be willing to work a flexible mix of day, night, and weekend shifts

Job Description
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Operating lane equipment and managing toll booths smoothly and professionally
* Classifying vehicles and processing toll payments per the schedule
* Recording and handling cash accurately, preparing deposits, and ensuring safe handovers
* Communicating clearly and courteously with drivers, resolving enquiries on the spot or escalating where needed
* Following safety and operational procedures – keeping yourself and others safe
* Liaising with the Bridge Control Room and following instructions promptly
* Reporting incidents or equipment faults when necessary
* Maintaining supplies and equipment in your booth
* Writing clear reports and interpreting information effectively
* Upholding high standards of appearance and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
* The right to work in the UK
* A 5-year checkable employment history (including study, unemployment, or self-employment)
* Minimum of secondary school education
* Strong IT and communication skills
* A natural ability to deliver top-notch customer service – with at least 2 years' experience in a customer-facing role
* A commitment to our core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness
Desirable:
* Experience in a customer service or public-facing role
* Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate
* Previous work in the service sector
