Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Systems Accountant / Project Manager for a leading professional services firm in Manchester, which has experienced significant growth over the past decade.
The Systems Accountant will lead system development efforts, ensuring a robust and value-adding system to enhance data accuracy and support commercial decision-making. You will oversee ongoing projects across all systems and act as a conduit between finance and IT.
The Role
1. Ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively, supporting forecasting and financial reporting.
2. Drive continuous improvement of systems and related reporting.
3. Provide training to maximize system utilization.
4. Develop enhancements to continually add value.
5. Implement a replacement financial system for Dimensions.
6. Ensure processes and procedures are documented, tested, and updated.
This position is suitable for someone with an accounting background and significant experience in delivering continuous improvement projects across finance and reporting systems. Leadership skills to influence senior management are essential.
Ideal candidates will have experience as a Systems Accountant in a professional services organization and hold an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). However, qualified individuals by experience will also be considered.
