The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, staff and external agencies to promote excellent attendance and punctuality across the school. The role will involve monitoring daily attendance, maintaining accurate records and ensuring attendance procedures are followed consistently. You will be responsible for carrying out first-day absence calls, investigating attendance concerns, analysing attendance data and supporting strategies designed to improve attendance outcomes. Working alongside pastoral leaders, you will identify patterns of absence, coordinate intervention programmes and support students who require additional guidance. You will also communicate regularly with families, helping to build positive relationships and remove barriers that may impact attendance. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities and the confidence to manage sensitive situations professionally and effectively. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality at all times while demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
