Gen Phoenix is revolutionising the materials industry by rescuing over 10,000 tonnes of leather waste and creating premium sustainable products trusted by Coach, Dr. Martens, and Daimler. Operating from our state-of-the-art £70m facility powered by 100% renewable energy, we need a dynamic Production Planner to optimise our operations as we further scale.
What you'll orchestrate:
* Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints
* Monitor production progress and adapt schedules dynamically to address delays, shortages, or demand changes
* Collaborate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components
* Coordinate with production teams to optimise workflow and eliminate bottlenecks
* Use 123 Insight to raise work orders and monitor timely completion
* Work with production to ensure WIP is managed and monitored correctly
* Analyse production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
* Maintain accurate records of schedules, changes, and performance metrics
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align production plans with business goals
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, CI, in planning and scheduling processes

You bring:
* Proven production planning and scheduling experience in manufacturing
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials management, and capacity planning
* Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and scheduling software
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
* Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities (desirable)
* Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma experience, ISO or similar quality management systems (desirable)
Location: Peterborough, UK PE7 3HH. Travel between the two manufacturing sites in Peterborough is essential. Full-time
