A fast‑moving, high‑volume FMCG organisation is seeking a talented Logistics Manager to lead and optimise their UK ambient primary transport network.
This is a high‑impact role at the centre of a complex logistics operation, overseeing the movement of products from factories into national warehouses, working closely with major 3PLs, and driving performance across service, cost, safety and sustainability.

What will you be doing?
⭐️ Managing primary ambient logistics operations across multiple product categories.
⭐️ Leading governance and performance management of external transport providers (3PLs).
⭐️ Driving optimisation across flows, capacity planning, routes, loadfill, and cost efficiency.
⭐️ Supporting long‑term network strategy and contributing to future‑fit logistics solutions.
⭐️ Collaborating with planning, warehousing, procurement, finance and customer teams.
⭐️ Representing the logistics agenda with internal and external stakeholders.
⭐️ Leading sustainability‑focused initiatives and data‑driven continuous improvement.
⭐️ Managing one direct report while shaping best‑practice standards across the wider team.
Who are we looking for?
⭐️ Strong operational background in UK transport or logistics (ambient, chilled, fresh or frozen).
⭐️ Experience managing 3PL relationships and influencing external stakeholders.
⭐️ Comfortable working in high‑volume, high‑complexity environments (FMCG, retail or large logistics).
⭐️ Financially savvy with strong commercial understanding and cost‑to‑serve awareness.
⭐️ A collaborative communicator able to work across multiple business units.
⭐️ Skilled at turning transport insights and data into actionable improvements.
⭐️ Curious, autonomous and energised by fast‑paced environments.
⭐️ People management experience desirable but not essential.
