Station Systems Technician Early & Late Shifts (Level 4) United Kingdom (On-site)
Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts who take pride in their impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team handling complex and critical tasks, helping to build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure.
Reporting to the Duty Manager, the successful Station Systems Technician will perform planned preventative maintenance on CCTV, CIS, PA, SISS (Station Information and Security Systems).
The role involves working 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts, alternating between Earlies (6am-6pm) and Lates (12pm-12am).
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting qualified technicians with fault rectification on CCTV, PAVA, PHP, and CIS screens
* Attending planned, remedial, or corrective maintenance tasks
* Maintaining SISS assets and reporting/stopping station communication faults
* Using field IT equipment for real-time maintenance data
* Liaising with Telent Service Centre for tasks, fault updates, and completions
Ideal candidate:
This entry-level role suits hands-on individuals who can multi-task and enjoy learning, especially those with experience in similar roles or understanding of Network Rail health & safety procedures.
Key requirements:
* CCTV, IP networking, or electrical background
* Good understanding of O365 and IT awareness
* Problem-solving and fault-finding skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Availability to work 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts, alternating Earlies and Lates
